Y1 Art: Vincent Van Gough

1st May 2021

The children have been learning about the famous artist, Vincent Van Gough and exploring his artwork.

The children were encouraged to discuss Van Gough's work, sharing reasons for their views, especially what they liked most and least.

The children also created their own painting, using powder paint, of different flowers, following on from work we did last week mixing primary colours in order to create new colours. They also considered how varying the amounts of water added changed the intensity of the colour.
