Y1 Visit to Weston Park Museum

What a fantastic day we all had at Weston Park Museum! 

The children really enjoyed consolidating their learning from our recent 'Toys' history topic. During the visit they looked at and played with lots of old toys, investigating them for clues so that they could decide it they were older or newer. They even helped the museum curator set up a new museum exhibition, displaying different toys that they chose and sharing reasons for their choices. 

The children then made their own clay toys to take home and after enjoying a well-deserved lunch the children and grown-ups explored the various exhibitions set up around the rest of the museum. 

The children children really enjoyed themselves and had a great time, learning lots. They behaved beautifully, and were a credit to themselves, their families and our school.
