Y2 Mathematics: Measuring in Metres!

In their mathematics lesson the children were challenged to use metres as a unit of measure to measure the length of different things around the classroom.

The children hunted for items in the classroom that were shorter than a metre; about a metre; and longer than a metre and worked together in pairs to measure carefully and accurately.
