Y4 Mathematics: Exploring Perimeter

26th Apr 2024

This week, our Y4 children have been learning how to calculate the perimeter of composite rectilinear shapes. In a nutshell, a composite rectilinear shape is a shape that is made of squares and rectangles put together. The perimeter of a composite shape can be found by adding up all the lengths of the sides of the shape. The children have even been able to work out missing measurements by looking for clues elsewhere in the shape!
