Y5: Reading and Writing Large Numbers

In Y5 Maths this week, we have been learning how to read and write large numbers. Using numbers in the ten thousands, hundred thousands and millions, we have identified the value of different digits, learnt how to say large numbers out loud and learnt how to write them, using both digits and words. 

Understanding how to read and write these numbers, as well as understanding the place value of their digits, will be very important as we prepare to add, subtract, multiply and divide large numbers later in the year.
