Y5 Science: Filtration (Part A)

The children have been learning about the 'Big Stink' in London back in 1858, during the reign of Queen Victoria.

They discovered that the River Thames was very dirty and smelly which led them to think about ways to clean the water. They then had a go at designing their own filtration systems using different materials - deciding the best quantities and order - to make the most effective filtering system.
