Y5: Sentence Subjects and Objects

This week in Y5 English, we have been learning how to identify the subjects and objects of sentences, as well as the different types of words often used in sentences: nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. We have written some fantastic sentences related to our History topic this term and then categorised the different words used. 

Identifying the building blocks of the sentences we read and write will help us to understand how and when to use different elements of grammar and how to vary the types of sentences we use.
