Y6: Formal Writing

This week the children of Y6 have been writing letters using formal language. We have studied the key features of formal writing, such as the omission of contractions and the use of technical words, and we have read a range of texts which use a formal tone. Finally, the children planned and wrote their own formal letters, arguing either for or against school uniform.
