Y6: Formal Writing

This week the young people of Y6 have been writing and editing formal letters.

We have discussed the many conventions of formal language, and have worked hard to use them in our letter writing. We have also been working very hard on our editing skills, and have been making alterations to our work to increase its formality, for example, removing contractions and substituting informal words for more formal ones.
