Y6 English: Our Harry Potter Writing

This week the children of Y6 have been working on a piece a writing based on the chapter 'Midnight Duel' from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The main focus of this piece of writing is to include dialogue that both conveys character and moves the plot along. We have therefore been studying different examples of dialogue in order to understand how best to write speech that achieves our aims. We're very excited to read through the finished pieces!
