Y6 RE: Exploring Rosh Hashanah

18th Nov 2022

This week in RE, Y6 have been studying the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah. This is a very important period in the Jewish calendar and marks a new year within the religion of Judaism. During Rosh Hashanah, Jewish people both look forward to a new year and atone for any sins committed during the previous year. We have learnt about the various customs and practices that mark this festival, as well as the symbolism and holy objects used within a synagogue at this time. Finally, we have created some fantastic leaflets which record all of our new learning.
