Y6: The Second World War

21st Jan 2024

As part of our current History topic on the Second World War, the children of Y6 have recently been learning about the causes of the conflict, and the political climate in both Germany and wider Europe during the 1930s. The children have studied a range of key factors which converged to result in the outbreak of the conflict, including the Treaty of Versailles, Neville Chamberlain's policy of appeasement and Nazi Germany's annexation of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia.
